About this experience
Discover the flavors of Xi’an through a hands-on cooking experience centered around its most iconic dish: biangbiang noodles. In this immersive 3-hour class, learn how to make fresh noodles from scratch—starting with kneading the dough, shaping it, and pulling it into wide, belt-like noodles. Guided step by step, gain insight into traditional Chinese cooking techniques and local food culture. Beyond the noodles, prepare a complete Chinese-style meal, including seasonal vegetable sides, a hot dish, a cold dish, and a light soup. While the food is cooking, learn to write the famous and complex Chinese character “biang” using a traditional brush on red paper. Your calligraphy will be framed and gifted to you as a meaningful souvenir from Xi’an. This experience takes place in an intimate setting. Depending on group size, it will be hosted either in a local home (for 2 guests) or in a professional restaurant kitchen (for groups of 3–5), ensuring both authenticity and comfort.
